The 2000 Georgia Tigers Travel Baseball Team is a collection of 14 premium baseball players who have been selected and/or recruited to represent the Georgia Tigers Baseball Club. These talented athletes use the Ballpark of Duluth as their home base. This 20,000 square foot facility features 8 batting cages, infield area, pitching and soft toss machines, real dirt pitching mounds, and a complete weight training room. Some of the finest coaches and ex-pro baseball players hold private and team lessons as well as baseball camps for kids of all ages. The Georgia Tigers will play the majority of their games within a 40 mile radius of Gwinnett County. In addition, they will play in tournaments in Georgia and around the US. In the spring season of 1999, the Tigers played over 100 games with a win percentage better than 70% against same age group teams. They finished 12th in the 1999 USSSA 13U World Series in Canton, Michigan. This tournament featured 43 of the finest teams in the country. With 9 returning players and 5 strong additions to the team, the Georgia Tigers are well positioned to have another sensational season.
